Historically, Chile has been known as a country that encourages foreign investment. Its globally oriented economy promotes free trade and actively seeks alliances with other countries. Today, Chile is among the countries with the most trade agreements in the world, creating a beneficial environment which allows foreign investment to thrive while offering solid foundations and sustained policies over time. 

Consequently, there are currently more than 4.000 foreign companies operating in Chile, mainly in areas such as electricity, infrastructure, telecommunications, mining and financial services, among others.
